Whole Green Beans
The herbs and lemon juice make these oven-roasted green beans special enough for a holiday meal.

2 pounds fresh green beans
1/2 teaspoon oregano
Salt and freshly ground pepper
3 tablespoons olive oil
1 whole lemon, halved

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Spray a roasting pan with olive-oil cooking spray.

Wash and trim the green beans and spread them in the roasting pan. Season with oregano, salt, and pepper. Drizzle with olive oil and toss to distribute the seasonings and olive oil evenly.

Bake for 10 minutes. Remove the beans from the oven and squeeze the lemon juice over them. Continue baking for about 10 minutes longer or until the beans are very tender.
