Baked Scallops
This scallop recipe adds pizzaz to ordinary scallops.

2 pounds scallops
1/4 cup butter
1/4 cup chopped onion
2 cups fresh mushrooms, chopped
1/4 cup flour
1 teaspoon salt
2 cups cream
Buttered bread crumbs

If scallops are large cut them in half. Cook in boiling water 5 minutes. Melt butter; add onion and mushrooms and cook 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Add flour, salt, cayenne and pepper. Slowly stir in cream. Cook over low heat until thick, stirring constantly. Add scallops, mix well. Pour into a greased baking dish. Cover with buttered bread crumbs and bake in 350 degree oven until brown, 15-20 minutes.
