White Lamb Chili

1 medium yellow bell pepper, chopped
1/2 cup onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon jalapeno chili, diced
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano, crushed
1/2 teaspoon ground coriander
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
2 cans (15 or 15.5 oz.) great Northern beans, drained
1/2 cup light cream
cilantro, chopped
green onions, chopped
Monterey Jack cheese, shredded

In a large saucepan cook lamb until brown, stirring frequently to break up pieces. Drain well. Add chopped pepper, onion and garlic; cook until onion is tender. Stir in jalapeno, cumin, oregano, coriander and black pepper. Mix well. Stir in broth and drained beans. Bring to boiling; reduce heat. Simmer 5 minutes. Stir in cream; heat through. Serve garnished with cilantro, parsley, green onion and/or shredded cheese as desired.
