CREAMY BANANA PECAN PIE

1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
1 cup pecans, finely chopped
1 package cream cheese, (8 ounces) softened
1 cup confectioners' sugar
1 carton frozen whipped topping, (8 ounces) thawed, divided
3 bananas, large firm sliced
1 package vanilla instant pudding, (3.4 ounces)
1-1/3 cups cold milk
chopped pecans, additional, optional

Combine flour, butter and pecans. Press onto the bottom and up the sides of a greased 9-in. pie plate. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes. Cool completely. In a mixing bowl, beat cream cheese and sugar. Fold in 1 cup of whipped topping. Spread over the crust. Arrange bananas on top. In a bowl, whisk pudding mix and milk. Immediately pour over bananas. Top with remaining whipped topping. Garnish with pecans if desired. Refrigerate until serving.
