1 cup onion, chopped or 1 tbsp Vegetable Oil or 1 cup carrots, sliced or 3 (10 1/2 oz) cans condensed chicken broth or 1 (14 1/2 oz) can tomatoes, cut up or 1/3 cup chili sauce or 3 tbsp brown sugar, firmly packed or 3 tbsp cider vinegar or 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce or 2 tsp prepared mustard or 2 (15 1/2 oz) can pinto beans, rinsed and drained or 1 (12 oz) can SPAM Luncheon Meat, cubed or 2 tbsp Parsley, chopped

In 5-quart saucepan, saute onion in oil until golden. Stir in carrots, chicken broth, tomatoes, chili sauce, brown sugar, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, and mustard. Mash half of beans with fork; add mashed beans and whole beans to soup. Blend well. Bring to a boil. Cover. Reduce heat and simmer 30 min or until carrots are tender. Stir in SPAM and parlsey. Simmer 2 min.
