Apple Sauce Meat Balls
Meat balls made with apple sauce.
Serves: 6-8
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 90 minutes


2 pounds ground beef, lean
3 cups bread crumbs, soft
2 eggs
1 can (1 pound) applesauce
1/4 cup onion, minced
2 teaspoons salt
2/3 cup ketchup
1/2 cup water

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In large mixing bowl, combined all but last 2 ingredients; mix lightly. Shape into balls about 2 inches in diameter. In skillet, brown meat balls in small amount of vegetable oil. Transfer meat balls to baking dish. Combine ketchup and water in small bowl; pour over meat balls/ Cover; bake for 1/2 hours.
