Asian Barbecue Turkey Thighs
This is a great way to cook turkey during the summer. Use the same marinade for chicken or pork.

3/4 cup barbecue sauce
1/4 cup sliced green onion, white and green parts
3 tablespoons low sodium soy sauce
2 tablespoons sesame seeds, toasted
1 teaspoon minced garlic
1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
2 pounds turkey thighs, or drumsticks, skinned and excess fat removed

In a two-cup measure, combine the barbecue sauce, onions, soy sauce, sesame seeds, garlic, and ginger. Remove 1/3 cup of the sauce, cover, and refrigerate.

Prick the turkey in several places with the tines of a fork. Transfer them to a zipped plastic bag and add the remaining marinade. Close the bag and turn it several times to cover the turkey thoroughly.

Prepare a charcoal or gas grill for indirect heat grilling. The coals should be medium hot to hot.

Cook thighs or drums for 25 to 30 minutes per side until meat thermometer inserted in the thickest portion registers 180 degrees F. During last 10 minutes of grilling, brush with the reserved 1/3 cup of marinade.

Serve hot off the grill.
