Where Did Mother's Day Come From?
Mother's Day was made official by President Woodrow Wilson and the United States Congress in 1914, when all members of the House wore white carnations in their button holes on the second Sunday in May. Two women, one from Boston and one from Philadelphia, at two different times, had fought to create a holiday to honor mothers.
