Chestnut Turkey Sausage Stuffing

1 pound turkey breakfast sausage
2 cups onion, chopped
1 ten-ounce French baguette, cut into 1-inch cubes
1 sixteen-ounce can Chinese waterchestnuts, drained
1/2 cup fresh parsley, chopped
1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
1/2 teaspoon dried sage
1/2 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
1 cup canned low sodium chicken broth
Non-stick cooking spray




Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In large non-stick skillet, over medium-high heat, sauté turkey sausage and onions 5 to 7 minutes or until turkey is no longer pink.
Drain.

In large bowl combine turkey mixture, bread cubes, chestnuts, parsley, thyme, sage and pepper. Add broth and stir to moisten.

Spoon stuffing into 9 x 12-inch baking pan, sprayed with vegetable cooking spray. Cover and bake 45 minutes.
