1/5 Gallon brandy or 4 sticks cinnamon or 2 tablespoons whole cloves or 1 cup raisins, seedless or 1 cup dried apricots or 1 cup prunes

Place spices in a cheesecloth bag.

Place fruit in a cheesecloth bag.

Place spice & fruit bags into the pot holding the Wine and Brandy. Bring to a boil. Hold at boil for about 10 minutes. Keep pot covered and put it away to cool and blend the flavors for 48 to 72 hours.

Save the Bottles and Stoppers for the bottling operation.

When ready to bottle, strain liquid thru four thicknesses of cheesecloth (circa 1934) or use filtration papers (a funnel simplifies this operation).

Drink merrily and toast to Grandpa!
