Spiced Hot Apple Cider
Hot cider hits the spot on cold, snowy afternoons or when you're sitting in front of a blazing fire. Plus, it's easy to make and fills the house with heady aromas!

2 teaspoons olive oil, plus more for drizzling
2 cloves garlic, crushed
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1/4 teaspoon pepper
One 1-pound boneless beef top sirloin
4 pita breads, warmed
1/4 cup crumbled feta cheese




Put the cider, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and orange slices in a large, heavy saucepan. Cook over medium heat for 5 to 8 minutes, or until hot. Do not boil. Stir several times with a wooden spoon.

Strain into a heatproof pitcher or individual mugs. Serve garnished with cinnamon sticks or whipped cream, if desired.

Refrigerate leftover cider and reheat gently for 1 1/2 to 2 minutes in the microwave or in a pan set over medium heat.
