1 cup sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
9 tablespoons butter
1 egg
1/2 cup evaporated milk
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup blueberries, fresh, or well-drained and rinsed frozen berries

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Mix flour, sugar, and baking powder in a large bowl. Add 8 tablespoons of the butter and blend until mixture is crumbly. Set aside ½ cup. Add egg, milk, and vanilla to remaining crumb mixture and mix until smooth. Gently fold in blueberries. Spoon into greased or lined muffin tin, filling cups 2/3 full.
