Italian Sausage Turkey Burgers
An interesting new way to make burgers!

Cook Time: 10 to 12 minutes


1 pound ground turkey
1 pound Italian-style turkey sausage
8 tablespoons marinara sauce
8 slices low fat mozzarella cheese
8 hamburger buns

Prepare charcoal grill for direct-heat cooking.

In large bowl combine ground turkey and Italian sausage. Evenly divide turkey mixture into 8 burgers, approximately 3-1/2 inches in diameter. Grill burgers 5 to 6 minutes per side or until 160 degrees F. is reached on meat thermometer and meat is no longer pink in center.

To serve, place burger on bottom half of bun. Top each burger with 1 tablespoon marinara sauce, 1 slice mozzarella cheese and other half of bun.
