Hot Mulled Cider
You will love the way the kitchen smells when you make this hot cider drink. If you prefer, omit the Calvados.

Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 5 minutes


4 cups apple cider
1 cinnamon stick
1 lemon slice
1 orange slice
6 whole cloves
4 slices fresh ginger
1/2 cup plus 2 tablespoons Calvados, or to taste
4 cinnamon sticks, for garnish

Combine all the ingredients except for the Calvados and cinnamon sticks in a saucepan over high heat. Bring to the boil, cover and remove from the heat. Allow the mixture to sit for 10 minutes.

Stir in the Calvados and then heat the cider gently until hot.

Strain the cider and serve in mugs with a cinnamon stick in each for stirring.
