"M&M's"® Picture Cookies
What a fun way to create unique holiday cookies!
Serves: Makes 8 to 12 large cookies
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 12 to 15 minutes


1 package (14.5 ounces or 410g) gingerbread mix
tubes of decorating icing, (white and assoted colors) with various tips
1 package (12 ounces or 340g) "M&M's"® Chocolate Mini Baking Bits

Prepare gingerbread mix as package directs for gingersnaps and soft ginger cookies or easy gingerbread cookies. Press the dough into greased 9- x 13-inch (230mm x 330mm) baking pan* and bake in 375°F (190°C) oven for 12 to 15 minutes until set but not firm. Cool 20 minutes on rack.

Loosen edges with knife and invert onto cutting surface. Trim edges 1/2 inch (13mm) on all sides. Cut gingerbread into squares and rectangles of desired sizes and sides at least 2-1/2 inches (65mm) long.

Make "frames" with white icing. Make "pictures" with "M&M's"® Chocolate Mini Baking Bits, attaching them to the cookies with icing. Santa faces, reindeer, candles, bells, trees and ornaments are some suggestions. When icing is set, wrap each cookie in cellophane or plastic wrap.
