3 pounds lean ground beef, or ground turkey
1 large onion, chopped (about 1 cup)
Six 10.5-ounce cans condensed vegetable soup
Two 10.5-ounce cans Campbell’s® Tomato Soup
water, as needed
Salt and pepper
10 to 12 hamburger buns, bread slices, or tortillas

Set a cooking grill over the fire before you light it. Built a campfire that is hot but not flaming. Wait to cook until the flames die down and the wood is glowing hot.

Put a Dutch oven or large skillet on the grill. Add the ground meat and onion and cook for about 10 mintues, stirring frequently, until the meat loses its pinkness and the onion softens. Pour or spoon off as much of the accumulated fat as you can and discard in the proper container. Do not dump this in the woods -- it attracts animals!

Add the vegetable and tomato soups and enough water to prevent sticking. Continue cooking for 5 to 8 minutes longer, or until heated through.

Season to taste with salt and pepper and serve over hamburger rolls, bread, or loosely wrapped in tortillas.
