When a recipe calls for London broil, it means flank steak. Buy any cut labled either London broil or flank steak.
For the most tender meat, slice the cooked steak on the diagonal. This means to slice it across the grain.

Serve with an oven-warm French baguette. Warm the bread in a 300-degree oven for 5 or 6 minutes, watching it to make sure it does not scorch. Serve the bread with some sweet unsalted butter or some fruity olive oil for dipping. 

Spoon the hot apples over ice cream if you prefer it to frozen yogurt. You could mix the apples with pears, or use pears only.
