Orange Pecan Waffles with Orange Maple

3/4 cup pecans, lightly toasted and cooled
1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
3 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup fresh orange zest, grated
3 large eggs
6 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted and cooled
1 1/4 cups club soda
1 cup maple syrup
1/4 cup fresh orange juice

Process pecans, flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a food processor until pecans are finely ground. Transfer pecan mixture to a large bowl. Stir in orange zest. Whisk eggs and butter in a small bowl. Add egg mixture and club soda to flour mixture, stirring until just combined. Cook waffles on a hot waffle iron. Keep warm.
Heat syrup and orange juice in a saucepan. Stif until hot. Serve with waffles.
