Baked Oysters

1 tablespoons onion, minced
2 tablespoons celery, minced
1/2 cup butter, melted
2/3 cup bread crumbs, toasted
3/4 cup Saltine crackers, crushed
2 teaspoons parsley, minced
1 tablespoon green onions, chopped
2 tablespoons cream
6 tablespoons oyster liquor
1 pint oysters
Salt and pepper
1/2 cup slivered almonds




Saute onion and celery in small amount of the butter. Mix bread crumbs and cracker crumbs together and stir in remaining butter, celery and onion. Add parsley and green onions. Combine cream and oysters, salt, pepper, and cream mixture. Repeat layers, ending with crumbs. Sprinkle with almonds. Bake in 400 degree oven for 30 minutes.
