Pizza Pie
There's nothing like a good homemade pizza. Experiment with toppings!

1 package cheese pizza mix
1 1/2 tablespoons cooking oil
1 pound bulk sausage, or 1 pound ground beef
4 ounces Romano cheese
1 can (3 ounces) sliced mushrooms, drained
1/2 teaspoon oregano




Prepare crust as directed on package. Pour cooking oil on 14 inch pizza pan and spread evenly over pan. Place dough in center of pan, coat well with oil, and flatten out to about 1/2 inch thickness. Let stand for 15-20 minutes, flatten again, pushing dough out toward edges of pan. Repeat process several times; the more often you let dough rise, the more tender crust will be. (Sounds like more trouble than it is.) Meanwhile, crumble and brown sausage in skillet. Drain and set aside. Grate cheese; set aside. Twenty minutes before serving time, flatten dough over bottom and up sides of pan. Spread pizza sauce from package over dough, stopping within 1/2 inch of edge of dough. Arrange mushrooms on top of sauce. Sprinkle cheese from package over mushrooms. Sprinkle sausage evenly over top and cover with grated Romano cheese. Sprinkle with oregano. Bake for 20 minutes at 425 degrees. Remove from oven and run spatula under pie to loosen from pan. Cut into wedges, using kitchen scissors.
