1 pound shrimp, cleaned and undercooked
1 medium onion, thinly sliced
1 lemon, thinly sliced
1/2 cup white vinegar
1/4 cup water
2 teaspoons salt, or to taste
1 teaspoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
1/4 teaspoon ginger
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 bay leaf
Dash Tabasco
1/4 cup lemon juice
1/2 cup salad oil

Combine all ingredients and marinate for at least 24 hours. Turn at least twice. This will keep for two days in the refrigerator if tightly covered. (for 3 pounds of shrimp, use 1 1/2 times the amount of marinade)
