Fried Rice
A great side to any Chinese meal!

3-1/2 to 4 cups long grain rice, cooked
3 tablespoons peanut or vegetable oil
1 egg
4 green onions, with tops, sliced
1 clove garlic, minced
1/2 pound shrimp, small, cleaned
1/2 cup water chestnuts, sliced
1/4 cup soy sauce
1 cup green peas, cooked




Chill rice in refrigerator. In Farberware® Electric wok, add 1 Tablespoon of the oil. Set heat control dial at 200°F. When light goes out, add egg and scramble; remove and set aside. Turn heat control dial to 250 degrees and add remaining oil, onion and garlic. Stir-fry about 1 minute. Stir in shrimp and water chesnuts. Cook until shrimp curl and turn pink, about 4 minutes. Stir in rice and soy sauce until mixed well; then stir in peas and egg. Stir constantly until hot.
