Steak Sandwich Salad
These are easy to make and great to eat!

1/3 cup olive oil
3 tablespoons red wine vinegar
1 teaspoon fresh thyme
3 teaspoons bottled horseradish
2 tablespoons capers, drained
steak, grilled (reserved from grilled dinner)
1 small avocado, diced
2 quarts salad greens, torn into bite-sized pieces, such as romaine, arugula, water cress or radicchio
2 to 2 1/2 cups bread, day-old, torn into bite-size pieces




Whisk together oil, vinegar, thyme and horseradish. Stir in capers. Slice reserved steak thinly, place on a platter along with avocado. Spoon 3 tablespoons dressing over and toss gently to coat.

In large bowl toss greens and bread. Add remaining dressing; toss well. Divide salad among 4 plates. Arrange steak and avocado on top.
