Peanut Butter and Date Snowballs

1/2 cup butter or margarine
1 cup packed brown sugar, firmly
1 package (8 oz) chopped dates
1 egg, well beaten
1 (16 oz) jar Smucker's Natural Chunky, Laura Scudder's Old Fashioned Nutty or Adams 100% Natural Crunchy Peanut Butter
3 cups corn flakes, slightly crushed
1 tablespoon vanilla
3 cups Powdered sugar




1. Melt butter in 12-inch skillet; add brown sugar and dates. Remove from heat; stir in egg. Cook over low heat until mixture comes to a boil; boil 1 minute. Stir in peanut butter until melted. Add corn flakes and vanilla; mix well. Cool 15 minutes.

2. Shape rounded teaspoons into 1-inch balls; roll in powdered sugar. When cool, roll in powdered sugar again.
