Vegetable Medley Saute with Rice
A great idea for a side dish, to add some variety to any meal.

1 cup Crisco® Vegetable Oil
3/4 cup margarine
3 tablespoons garlic, minced
8 cups onion, diced
8 cups celery, sliced
8 cups broccoli florets
4 cups carrots, thinly sliced
6 cups fresh mushrooms, sliced
8 cups baby corn
4 cups olives, halved
4 cups water
3/4 cup tamari soy sauce
1 1/2 teaspoon chili oil
8 cups brown rice, cooked
4 cups wild rice, cooked




In a large saute pan or wok, heat garlic in oil and nargarine over medium heat for 1 minute.
Stir in onion, celery, broccoli, and carrots. Cook 3 to 5 minutes, until vegetables are crisp-tender.
Stir in mushrooms, corn and olives. Continue cooking 1 to 2 minutes.
Blend together broth, tamari and chili oil. Stir into vegetables. Cook 1 minute.
Stir in brown and wild rice. Heat thoroughly.
