Ham with Mustard Garlic Apple-Cue Sauce
A ham dish that's easy to make and has a different taste than ham by itself.

2 tablespoons olive oil
1/4 cup onion, minced
5 minced cloves garlic
2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
2 tablespoons prepared mustard, regular
1 1/2 cup applesauce
1 to2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 1/2 slices ham, pre-cooked slices




Heat olive oil in meduim saucepan. Add onion and garlic; saute for three minutes or until soft. Add mustards and cook for one minute or until well heated. Reduce heat. Add applesauce; stir well. Add vinegar and sugar. Simmer uncovered for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. If mixture is too thick, add a few tablespoons of apple juice or water to thin.

Grill: brush ham with sauce and grill or broil until done. Serve with remaining sauce.

MIcrowave: Spread 1/4 cup of the sauce in a microwave-safe sish. Arrange ham on dish and cover with 1/2 cup of sauce. Microwave on high for about eight minutes, or until heated through. Cut ham into serving-sized pieces. Arrange on plates and serve with remaining sauce.
