Crown Maple Thyme Pigs in a Blanket

1 cup Crown Maple Very Dark Color and Strong Taste syrup
1 tablespoon chicken stock
2 sprigs fresh thyme (1/2 teaspoon dried)
2 frozen puff pastry sheets




Heat oven to 400 degrees; line a cookie sheet with Parchment paper and set aside.

Drain the Lit’l Smokies well, pat dry, and place in a dish; in a small pan over medium heat, heat the syrup, chicken stock, and thyme, bruising the thyme with a wooden spoon. Bring to a boil, turn off and allow to cool before pouring over the Lit’l Smokies.

While the mini sausages marinate, thaw the puff pastry sheets according to the manufacturer’s directions. Using one of the Lit’l Smokies as a guide, cut the pastry sheets into rectangles.

Roll the sausages in the pastry and place, seam side down, on the prepared cookie sheet. Bake 10 minutes, brush with syrup, and bake 5 more minutes or until puffed and golden brown.
