Quick & Easy Poached Salmon
20 minutes is all you need to make these flavorful salmon steaks, flavored with white wine, lemon and dill.

Swanson® Chicken Stock or 1 3/4 cups Swanson® Chicken Broth
1/4 cup Chablis or other dry white wine
1/4 teaspoon dried dill weed, crushed
1 lemon, thinly sliced
4 salmon steak, 1-inch thick each




Heat the broth, wine, dill and lemon slices in a 10-inch skillet over medium heat to a boil.
Place the salmon in the skillet and reduce the heat to low.  Cover and cook for 10 minutes or until the salmon flakes easily when tested with a fork. Discard the poaching liquid.
Easy Substitution: You can substitute fresh or thawed frozen firm white fish fillets (cod, haddock or halibut) for the salmon. Reduce the cooking time to 5 minutes in Step 2.
