Sausage & Stuffing Parmesan
This incredibly flavorful main-dish stuffing cooks on the stove-top...and the Italian sauce, sausage and cheese makes it an easy-to-prepare family favorite!

1 1/2 pounds Italian pork sausage, sliced
1 large onion, diced (about 1 cup)
Prego® Tomato Basil & Garlic Italian Sauce or 2 cups Prego® Traditional Italian Sauce
1 cup water
4 cups Pepperidge Farm® Country Cubed Stuffing
1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese (about 6 ounces)
1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese




Cook the sausage in a 12-inch skillet over medium-high heat until it's well browned, stirrng occasionally  Pour off any fat.
Add the onion and cook for 4 minutes or until it's tender-crisp. Stir the Italian sauce and water in the skillet and heat to a boil. Reduce the heat to low.
Add the stuffing to the skillet and mix lightly. Cook for 5 minutes. Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese and Parmesan cheese onto the stuffing mixture and cook until the cheese is melted.
Recipe Note: If desired, sprinkle the cheeses on the stuffing mixture and broil until they're golden brown.

The Zesty Citrus-Thyme Marinade really makes this recipe. The kabobs go nicely over a bed of rice -brown basmati and wild rice would be a good blend. Heat the remaining marinade and drizzle on top of the kabobs before serving to flavor the rice as well.
