Honey Crunch Pecan Pie

4 eggs, lightly beaten
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup light corn syrup
2 tablespoons butter, melted
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup pecans, chopped
1 unbaked pie crust (9-inch)
1/3 cup packed brown sugar
3 tablespoons butter
3 tablespoons honey
1 1/2 cups pecan halves

Heat the oven to 350ºF.
Stir the eggs, 1/4 cup brown sugar, granulated sugar, salt, corn syrup, melted butter, vanilla and chopped pecans in a large bowl until well mixed. Spoon the pecan mixture into the unbaked pie crust. Bake at 350ºF for 15 minutes. Cover the edge of the crust with foil. Bake for 20 minutes and carefully remove from the oven.
Heat 1/3 cup brown sugar, 3 tablespoons butter and honey in a 2-quart saucepan over medium heat and cook for 2 minutes or until the sugar is dissolved and the butter is melted, stirring often. Remove the saucepan from the heat. Add the pecan halves and stir until coated. Spoon the pecan mixture evenly over the pie. Keep the foil on the edge of the pastry and bake for 10 to 20 minutes or until the topping is golden brown. Cool the pie on a wire rack to room temperature before serving.
