Savory Lamb-Stuffed Shells

12 ounces ground lamb
1/2 cup onion, chopped
1/2 cup green pepper, chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
1 egg, beaten
1/4 cup bread crumbs
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground allspice
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
15 ounces marinara sauce
12 pasta shells, jumbo, cooked and drained

In a large skillet cook ground lamb, onion, green pepper and garlic until meat is brown. Drain well. Combine egg, bread crumbs, cinnamon, allspice, and pepper. Add meat mixture and 1/4 cup of sauce; mix well. Spoon about 2 tablespoons of the meat mixture into each macaroni shell. Arrange filled shells in a 2-quart square baking dish. Pour remaining sauce over filled shells. Cover dish with foil. Bake at 375 degrees for 25-30 minutes or until heated through. Sprinkle each serving with grated Parmesan cheese, if desired.
