Oriental Turkey Burgers

1 1/4 pounds ground turkey
1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
1 tablespoon hoisin sauce, plus additional for garnish
1 tablespoon low sodium soy sauce
1 tablespoon dry sherry
3 scallions, finely chopped
black pepper, freshly ground
4 hamburger buns, toasted
Chinese mustard

In a large mixing bowl combine the turkey, ginger, hoisin sauce, soy sauce, sherry, scallion and pepper to taste. Mix well to combine. Divide the mixture into four equal parts and shape each into patties. Cover and refrigerate until ready to cook.

Heat the broiler. Broil the patties about 5 inches from the heat source for about 8 minutes, turning once halfway through the cooking time, until the burgers are well done. Serve immediately on toasted hamburger buns with additional hoisin sauce and Chinese mustard.
