Fish Soup with Peppers

6 cups fish broth
1 cup dry white wine
1 red pepper, seeded and finely sliced
1 yellow pepper, seeded and finely sliced
1 stalk celery, finely sliced
3 large tomato, skinned, seeded and chopped
1 clove garlic, finely chopped
3/4 pound cod fillets, cut into strips
freshly ground pepper
1 tablespoon chives, chopped

Combine the chicken broth and the wine in a large saucepan and bring to the boil over moderate heat. Add the peppers, celery, tomatoes and garlic and simmer for 5 minutes.

Add the fish strips and cook for 5 more minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Sprinkle with chives before serving.
