1/2 pound butter or margarine
1 pound peanut butter
1 1/2 pounds confectioner's sugar
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate bits

Cream butter and peanut butter. Gradually add sugar, you will have to knead in the last bit until smooth. Form into balls about 1-inch in diameter. Freeze on waxed paper.
Chocolate Mixture:
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate bits 1/4 bar paraffin wax, shaved
(The paraffin wax helps the chocolate adhere and gives it a nce, shiny appearance.) Melt in double boiler and keep warm.

Using a toothpick (stick it into the center of the chilled peanut butter balls) dip each peanut butter ball into the warm chocolate mixture until it is about 1/2 to 2/3 covered. Place back on waxed paper and refrigerate until firm.
