Creamy Chicken with Angel Hair Pasta

4 tablespoons unsalted butter
1 7-ounce package dry Italian salad dressing mix
1/2 cup white wine
1 10.75-ounce can condensed golden mushroom soup
1 4-ounce package cream cheese with chives
boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1 pound angel hair pasta




Preheat the oven to 325ºF.

In a large saucepan, melt the butter or margarine over low heat. Add the dressing, wine, and can of soup. Stir to mix and heat through. Add the cream cheese and stir until smooth. Let the sauce heat though.

Arrange the chicken breasts in a baking dish large enough to hold them in a single layer with just a little overlap. Pour the sauce over the chicken.

Bake for about 1 hour or until the chicken is cooked through and the sauce is hot and bubbling.

About 10 minutes before the chicken is done, bring a large pot of salted water to a boil over medium-high heat. Drain well.

Put the pasta on a serving platter and spoon the chicken on top of it, spooning the sauce over both chicken and pasta. Serve hot.
