Vegetable Rice-Pilaf

1 tbsp. butter or 1 tbsp. margarine
3/4 cup uncooked regular long grain white rice
1 can (14 oz.) vegetable broth
1/4 tsp. dried basil leaves, crushed
3/4 cup frozen mixed vegetables
1/4 cup chopped green or red pepper

In medium saucepan over medium heat, heat margarine. Add rice and cook 30 seconds, stirring constantly. Stir in broth and basil. Heat to a boil. Reduce heat to low. Cover and cook 10 minutes.

Stir in vegetables and pepper. Cover and cook 10 minutes more or until rice is done and most liquid is absorbed.
