1 lb. ground beef
1/8 tsp. garlic powder or 1 clove garlic, minced
1 can (about 14 1/2 ounces) stewed tomatoes
1/2 cup Pace® Picante Sauce
1 tsp. ground cumin
1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/3 cup raisins
1/3 cup toasted slivered almonds
2 medium green peppers, cut into quarters lengthwise
1/2 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
Fresh basil leaves

In skillet over medium-high heat, cook beef and garlic powder until beef is browned, stirring to separate meat. Pour off fat.

Add tomatoes, picante sauce, cumin, cinnamon, raisins and almonds. Reduce heat to low and heat through.

Arrange peppers in 2-quart casserole. Spoon beef mixture into pepper-lined casserole.

Cover and bake at 400°F. for 25 minutes or until peppers are tender. Uncover. Top with cheese. Bake 5 minutes more or until cheese is melted. Garnish with basil.

To toast almonds, arrange almonds in single layer in shallow-sided baking pan. Bake at 350°F. for 10 minutes or until lightly browned.
