Homemade Egg Nog

4 large eggs
1 CUP sugar
1 TSP. salt
1/3 CUP sugar
1/2 1 CUP brandy, RUM, OR WHISKEY
1 CONTAINER Cool Whip, OR CAN OF WHIPPED CREAM
nutmeg, AND/OR CINNAMON




SEPERATE THE EGGS. MIX THE EGG YOLKS, SALT, AND THE 1 CUP OF SUGAR TOGETHER IN A POT. HEAT THIS MIXTURE UNTIL IT COATS THE BACK OF A SPOON. BEAT THE EGG WHITES WITH THE 1/3 CUP OF SUGAR UNTIL IT FORMS STIFF PEAKS. THEN BLEND THE EGG WHITES INTO THE HEATED MIXTURE. ADD THE ALCOHOL. COOL THE EGGNOG IN THE FRIDGE. LADLE IT WHEN COOL INTO MUGS OR GLASSES, ADD A SPOONFUL OF COOL WHIP OR WHIPPED CREAM ON TOP AND SPRINKLE WITH NUTMEG AND/OR CINNAMON.
