3 onions, (medium)
1 bell Pepper
3 lbs shrimp, (cooked)
1 bunch shallots
1 lb Jimmy Dean Sausage, (regular)
1 tsp garlic powder
8 oz Parmesan cheese, (grated)
1 TBL lemon pepper seasoning
1 cup Italian bread crumbs
1 tsp salt

Boil mirlitons about 1 1/2 hours, or until soft. While mirlitons are boiling, chop and saute bell pepper, onions and shallots in a little oil. Brown sausage and drain off grease. add meat to greens. When mirlitons are done, scoop out seed and discard. You can use skin if it is tender; otherwise, peel and discard. Mash mirlitons with a potato masher. Drain liquid off green and mix with mirlitons and all seasonings and bread crumbs. Save enough parmesan cheese to top pans. Cut shrimp into bite-size pieces and add to mirlitons. Mix well and put into pans. Top with rest of cheese. Cover pans with foil and cook at 300 degrees for 30 to 45 minutes. Uncover during last 10 minutes to brown top.
