Creamy Tomato-Basil Sauce with Shrimp

1 tablespoon olive oil
1 onion, finely chopped
2 clove garlic, finely chopped
1 can (14.5 oz.) tomatoes, recipe-ready diced
1/2 cup CROSSE & BLACKWELL® Shrimp Sauce
3 tablespoon fresh basil, chopped
2 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
8 ounce medium shrimp, cooked




HEAT olive oil in large skillet over medium-high heat. Add onion and garlic; cook, stirring frequently, for 3 to 5 minutes or until tender.

STIR in tomatoes with juice, shrimp sauce, basil, parsley, salt and pepper; reduce heat to low. Cook, stirring occasionally, for 4 to 6 minutes. Gradually stir in cream; cook, stirring frequently, for 5 to 7 minutes or until slightly thickened. Stir in shrimp; cook for 1 to 2 minutes or until heated through.

SERVING SUGGESTIONS: Serve over hot, cooked pasta or rice.
