Butterscotch Gingerbread Cookies

3 cups flour
2 teaspoons baking soda
1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1 1/2 teaspoons ground ginger
3/4 teaspoon ground cloves
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup butter or margarine, softened
1 1/2 cups packed brown sugar
1 egg
1/3 cup mild molasses
1 package NESTLÉ ® TOLL HOUSE ® Butterscotch Flavored Morsels




PREHEAT oven to 350 degrees F.


COMBINE the flour, baking soda, cinnamon, ginger, cloves and salt in small bowl and whisk well.


BEAT the butter, sugar, egg and molasses in the mixing bowl of an electric mixer until creamy. Gradually beat in the flour mixture until well blended. Stir in the butterscotch morsels.


Drop by rounded tablespoons onto ungreased baking sheets. Leave about 2 inches between each cookie. BAKE for 9 to 11 minutes, or until the cookies are lightly browned. Cool on the baking sheets for 2 minutes; remove to wire racks to cool completely.
