Vegetarian Tostadas
The ingredients in tostadas are highly adaptable and their composition is limited only by the cooks imagination. Think of these tostadas as a main dish layered with beans, lettuce, cheese, olives, avocado and Ortega taco sauce.

1 can (16-oz) ORTEGA® Fat Free Refried Beans
1/4 cup chopped onion
1 packet (1.25 oz) ORTEGA® Taco Seasoning Mix
1 package (10-count) ORTEGA® Tostada Shells
2 1/2 cups shredded lettuce
1 cup Shredded Cheddar cheese
1 can (4-oz)sliced ripe olives, drained




COOK beans, onion and seasoning mix in a medium saucepan, stirring frequently, until heated through.

SPREAD bean mixture evenly over tostada shells. Top with toppings.

TOPPINGS: 2 1/2-cups shredded lettuce, 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese, 1 can (4-oz.) sliced ripe olives, 2 avocados (sliced), 1/2 cup Ortega Thick & Smooth Taco Sauce.
