1 stick butter, cut in slices or 1/4 cup flour or Blank 2-3 cloves garlic, pressed or 1 cup milk or 1 cup heavy whipping cream or 3/4 1 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, freshly grated or nutmeg or cayenne pepper or salt or Pepper

Combine butter, flour and 2 to 3 cloves garlic into a saucepan. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes over medium low heat, stirring constantly (with a whisk) until it gets to the consistancy of a rue.
Turn the heat down to low and add the milk very slowly. Now add the cream and continue to whisk. Finally add the cheese a little bit at a time, allowing each addition of cheese to melt before adding more. Add nutmeg, cayenne pepper, salt and pepper to taste. At this point the temperature may be increased to medium low to medium, just be sure to monitor the progress and do not allow the sauce to boil. Continue cooking until desired temperature is reached.

Serve over favorite pasta.

This may also be a good dip when served with bread.

1. Use a garlic press so you don`t end up with chunks of garlic in your sauce.
2. Be sure to use a whisk, not a spoon.
3. Whisk constantly until all cheese has melted.
4. Make sure you add ingredients in the order listed.
5. Do not
