Honey-Banana Oatmeal
Bananas are delicious stirred into hot oatmeal. If you prefer, sprinkle brown sugar over them instead of a drizzle of honey.

2 cups milk
1 1/2 cups water
3 tablespoons honey, plus more for drizzling
1/4 teaspoon salt, optional
2 cups old-fashioned rolled oats, or quick rolled oats
1 cup mashed bananas, 2 medium bananas
2 tablespoons chopped toasted walnuts, optional
2 large bananas, sliced

In a large saucepan, bring the water and milk to a boil over high heat. Add the honey and salt, if using.

Stir in the oats and return to a boil. Reduce the heat to medium and cook for about 5 minutes or until the liquid is absorbed, stirring occasionally. (If using quick oats, cook for about 1 minute.)

Remove the oatmeal from the heat. Stir in the mashed bananas and nuts, if using. Spoon the oatmeal into bowls and top with sliced bananas and drizzle with more honey.
