Cheesy Dog Bones
Dogs love the taste of cheese -- and a little is very good for them. So is the garlic. Keep these bones refrigerated.

2 cups all-purpose flour
1 1/4 cups Shredded Cheddar cheese
2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
1/2 cup Crisco® Vegetable Oil
4 1/2 tablespoons water

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.

Cut out a piece of cardboard in the shape of a bone that is about 4 inches long, or plan to use a bone-shaped cookie cutter.

Combine the flour, cheese, garlic, and vegetable oil in the bowl of a food processor. Process until the mixture is the consistency of coarse meal. With the machine running, slowly add the water through the feedtube until the dough holds together and forms a ball.

Divide the dough into 12 equal pieces. Roll out each piece to 1/2 inch thickness. Use the carboard template or the cookie cutter to cut out the bones. Reroll the scraps and cut out a few more bones, if you can.

Transfer to an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 10 to 15 minutes or until the bottom of the biscuits are lightly browned.

Carefully transfer the bones to a wire rack to cool completely. Refrigerate in an airtight container.
