Chicken at Attention
Try this appetizing chicken that is slowly cooked on the grill for that great grilled taste.

Cook Time: 3 hours


1 whole broiler-fryer chicken
2 tablespoons olive oil
seasoned salt or seasoned pepper
garlic powder
1 can (12 ounces) beer, opened

Prepare a low, hot fire in grill, keeping coals as far away from grill as possible.
Wash and clean fryer. Coat fryer with olive oil, inside and out. Wipe excess oil on outside of beer can. Sprinkle entire fryer with seasonings. Insert opened beer can into cavity of fryer (fryer should now be standing upright). Place on grill and smoke at least 3 hours. Depending on bird and fire, cooking time could take up to 5 hours or more. Chicken will darken as it cooks. Monitor chicken carefully! Serve immediately.
