Chicken Italian - Mary Lloyd
Serve this chicken dish with great enormity and pride.

6-7 slices bread
2 medium chickens, fryers (or equivalent in pieces of your choice)
1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
1/4 cup chopped parsley
1 clove garlic, crushed
2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon pepper
Dash nutmeg
Pinch oregano
1/2 pound butter, melted

Heat bread in oven; grate or roll with rolling pin to make 2 cups crumbs. Mix cheese, parsley, garlic, salt, pepper, nutmeg, cayenne, oregano and crumbs. Cut chickens into serving pieces; dip each piece in melted butter, then in crumb mixture, being sure to coat well. Arrange chicken pieces in shallow roasting pan lined with foil, placing them close together. Pour remaining butter over all. Bake, uncovered, in 350 degree ove for 1 hour, or until tender, do not turn.
