Chicken Breasts with Potatoes
A great tasting, classic home-cooked meal.

Cook Time: 40 minutes


2 large chicken breast halves, boned
1/4 cup butter
1 onion, chopped
1 - 2 cloves garlic, crushed
1 tablespoon flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
pepper, to taste
1 chicken bouillon cube
1 cup hot water
1 can (8 oz.) new potatoes, drained
1/4 cup red wine

Saute chicken breasts in butter until brown on all sides. Remove chicken and set aside. Add onion and garlic to butter; cook 5 minutes. Stir in flour, salt and pepper. Dissolve bouillon cube in hot water; stir into onion mixture. Cook over low heat until thickened. Return chicken to pan. Cook slowly about 30 minutes, or until chicken is tender. Add potatoes and wine; heat thoroughly.
