Barbecued Spareribs
A great way to spice up them ribs.

Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 35-45 minutes


5 pounds spareribs, cut into 2-rib pieces
1 cup ketchup
3 drops hot pepper sauce
1/4 cup vinegar
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon celery seed
1 small onion, finely chopped

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Place spareribs on a rack in a shallow
baking pan. Brown in oven 15 minutes; turn and brown on other side
10 to 15 minutes. Drain fat. Place ribs in slow cooker. In a small
bowl, combine ketchup, pepper sauce, vinegar, brown sugar, salt,
celery seeds, and onion. Pour mixture over ribs; turn ribs until
evenly coated. Cover and cook on Low about 6 hours or until ribs
are tender. Serve hot.
