No-Fry Coconut Shrimp
Even better than fried shrimp these no-mess baked shrimp use crushed French fried onions for a crispy and tasty coating.

Cook Time: 10 minutes


1 can (2.8 ounces) French's® French Fried Onions (about 1 1/3 cups)
1/3 cup sweetened flaked coconut
2 egg whites
1 pound fresh large shrimp, peeled and deveined

Heat the oven to 400ºF.  Place the onions and coconut into a gallon size resealable plastic bag.  Seal the bag.  Lightly crush the onions with a rolling pin.  Shake the bag until the mixture is combined.
Beat the egg whites in a shallow dish with a fork or whisk.  Dip the shrimp into the egg whites.  Coat with the onion mixture.  Place the shrimp onto a rimmed baking sheet.

Bake for 10 minutes or until the shrimp are golden brown and cooked through.

Flavor Variation: For a flavor twist, stir 1 teaspoon curry powder into the onion mixture.
